Well, it isnt that bad -- I just removed the bumper since the place that does my camber kit install charges less if I remove the bumper..and while the bumper was off I figured I'd clear my headlights out since I've wanted to for so long.



Headlights are easy to remove, all 10mm. One on top going downward. two behind on the side coming forward. And one near the bottom going toward the car. Removed the headlights and put in the oven at 350 degrees for 7 minutes, then used a flat head screw driver to seperate them, wasn't too bad at all.



After they were apart I removed the orange corner, and dropped the black housing off at my paint guy to have painted silver to match my car. Then cleaned off my lenses and lights. This is sweet. :-)

hey ry, great job bro... make sure you post pics when you've got them painted silver and installed again. i wanna check that out.

Silver cars rule IMO.

So when you go drive yur car up to this place to get yur camber kit installed (btw what kind did you get?) you drive down the road with no front bumper? cant you get pulled over for that?

When driving up to the place, I had no bumper, but I did have headlights and turn signals. Its might be illegal, but if I got pulled over I'd explain that I was getting an alignment and it was necessary to remove -- It'd alright. I have the Plyurethane Ingalls 1157 fron camber adjusters.

I will post pics of the silver housing once Im done, and update my sig pic with a new pic of it lowered and all shiny :-)

Just seems like exactly the type of thing that I would somehow screw up. I'm the person who always manages to overdo things, BUT I REALLY WANT TO DO IT. DAMN!!!!........does anyone have an extremely accurate & foolproof writeup out there???

I'm with you sineses333. I mean ppl say to put it in at this temp and for this long but all ovens work differently. When I say differently I mean at my parents house it takes 12 min to cook a pizza at 425 but at my house it takes 9 min at 425 to cook the same pizza. And how do you know if the lights are done??? what is the warning sign?? Does the crust rise or what???

its gonna be looking good. how much total for the kit and alignment?

just keep checking on the headlights...thats what i did. you know when they are done when you can pry them apart. if they dont come apart, put em in for another min or so. oh yeah, and wear oven mits. gahahaha. mine was 200 degrees for like 15 mins.

you can drive down the road with no bumper. its just the cover. the actual support is still on there. but you need to have ur headlights still on like you said

I was skeptical about putting it in the oven too - but it is actually fool proof. Place it in the oven, set it to 300 degree and give it 7 minutes. I opened the door and checked mine every minute I swear, cause I was scared something would go bad, melt..or whatever....but the headlight can easily withstand the heat. Take it out with oven mitts after 7 minutes, and use a flat head screwdriver to slowly pry it apart. The headlight will be OK. If anyone is worried about the headlight, dont be.

As far as my camber, it costed me $150 to have the front camber kits installed, rear shims installed, and an alignment. That was at the shop I go to here in town.
