I have a 1996 eclipse gs and in the last few weeks everything has been breaking on it, the newest broken part is the power locks, neither of the interior buttons make them move, and my alarm doesn't unlock the doors either so now i have to use a key to get in and out, anyone have any ideas, thanks a lot ~shawn

If all of a sudden neither power lock buttons on your door or your remote will lock/unlock the doors, it's gotta be something with the electrical system somewhere. Either a wire is cut or maybe one of the solenoids is grounding out. Just take the door panels off and make sure all the wires are connected.
It might be a blown fuse too *maybe* but I think more would stop working than just your power locks. Worth checking though, a fuse is a lot cheaper than a solenoid.

ok the fuse was blown so i replaced it and now it clicks and the locks move a little bit but it seems too weak to move the locks so something else must be wrong, let me know if anyone has any suggestions ~Shawn

Hmm...your door lock actuators may be going bad, and drawing too much current and blowing the fuse. Do any of your locks feel hard to push by hand? Either way, i would check those out. Oh yeah, you go to the University of Toledo? Sweet, i grew up in Toledo, but now i live in Grand Rapids, MI, about 2.5 hours from there. Well good luck man.

Take apart the door panels and clean your lock motors out. There is a help file about it on gc.dsm.org I had the same problem.
