Can anyone tell me where all of the bolts are for the 98 eclipse headlights are so I can take them out, and remove my bumper to finish putting in my Z3's(It's a pain in the ass!)?

hey man gotta tell ya. it will take you forever to get those things out and thats if you even find them. i took my bumper off and still couldnt find all of them. i finally took the car to a shop and it took them 3 hours so good luck man

no you dont have to remove the bumper to get the lights out..
its been a while, but there should be two bolts on top of the housing, two in the back, and one or two in the bottom... the bottom ones are the hardest to get to, but are there if you find them.... do not take your car to the shop to have them removed, its pretty simple to do, just takes a little time and patience.

2 on top, 2 on outer sides...one on bottom of headlite.

All are easy to get to...'cept for the bottom headlite bolt...just use a piece of paper in between the bumper and bottom of the headlite (so u wont scratch the bumper) and wedge a screwdriver in there, and pry open a large enough hole in there to stick a LONNNNNNG socket extension attachement with a 14mm or 13mm or whatever size socket it is. Easy way to remove the bottom bolt without breakin anything.

Lucky for me the only time I've had to do this so far, was when I was taking the bumper off......It sure helps alot to have the bumper loosened a bit to get at those two bottom bolts. I swore I was going to break something. But as the kaptain said....make sure you have a very long socket extention handy (ie....if you've done your spark plugs) and just be patient.

P.s.....don't worry getting them out is nothing compared to getting them back in :o just a warning.

Well my approach ended up being pretty interesting, every time I tried to use a long extension to get to the bolt underneath, the socket fell off wnd down in between the radiator, so what I ended up doing was pulling the stock light off and breaking it, which I really did not want to do. Then I took the bumper off because before I ripped the headlight out there were those two plastic screws I couldn't get to. Then I unscrewed the other headlight and replaced them both. It was a pain in the ass, like I said before, and I was late to work, but damn they look nice!:thumbsup Thanks for all of your help though.
