Edit: Nevermind that was just regular projectors. Sorry
I did a search and found this site at least claims to carry them for 95-99 Eclipses. I dunno? Check it out.

nah... thanks bro, but they only have the projectors. the halos/angel eyes only for, of course, civics and accords.

keep us updated on this if you find out okay? I love those headlights - they would look awesome on an eclipse.
So how does it work? Do you need a whole new headlight assembly or does the "ring" (that's what it is, right) of light fit around your existing projector?
|
27073, RE: angel eyes headlights Posted by thisismygs, Jul-22-02 01:55 PM
the way the accord and civic ones are that they're projectors with the white led ring (whole headlight assembly). my boy has a 2002 civic coupe with and the led is blue. he said they also come in red.

27074, Angel eyes headlights.. Posted by Soular 96GS, Jul-23-02 01:37 AM
I have been doing research in this area. I have a few emails out to the kids that make these units for the civic. I think if we show enough interest they will get developed.
Can you imagine a duel Halo on the eclipse.... lord have mercy! That would, without a doubt, be the sweetest cosmetic mod for the car That has come out in a long time.
I will keep you posted... Hell they make them for the Sentra and the Mirage so the Eclipse 95-97-99 has to be on the list...

didn't Niclipse get those? They would definitely look hot on an eclipse. I just hope they dont have all the problems the other projectors have.

huh? i don't understand. does this guy make the angel eye projectors himself, and you're trying to get him to make them for the eclipse? what would be the reason for e-mailing him (just want to know)?

27081, Dang! Sorry for the confusion...(more) Posted by Soular 96GS, Jul-23-02 08:37 AM
While researching some weeks ago, I found this stuff on a civic board. So I just posted the pics for all to see.
I am waiting to hear info about the developer of the lights so we can shoot them some email to show interest. So they can make them for us or at least release the kits.
There are kits in existence but they are for the BMW... But they are like $400!! That's a lot of loot for some plastic and some Radio Shack LEDS!
The lights would be easy to make... the Light ring is the same type of ring that's found in our cars now... The Ignition Key and Cig Lighter Rings are just smaller versions.
Take a look at the BMW Kit: http://www.logun.org/AngelEyes.htm If I get more details, I will post them.. Sorry if I threw you guys off.

27084, More Info on the light ring kits Posted by Soular 96GS, Jul-24-02 03:23 AM
Hey Gang,
I talked to the guy that makes the BMW kit yesterday... I asked him If I could get the LED light rings and he pointed out to me that he uses GEN 2 Light rings which use Fiber Optics.
He said he would sell me the GEN 1 stuff for like $99 I think that was for the complete BMW kit that was originally priced at $340.
Not sure what comes with the kit.. but he asked me to call him back to talk about the details. (He was out of town and the contact number was his cell)
What I am thinking about is getting some type 2 projectors, the kind with the 2 lens, and adding the light ring kit to them...
I will report my findings...

The thing is...our head lights are not round. They are like half round, it's flat on the sides. The BMW A.E. lights are round....SOOOOOO how would it work?? I would LOVE to have those lights though...it would be SWEET!!!

>The thing is...our head lights are not round. They are like half round, it's flat on the sides.
that's true, but that's if the kit was made for our stock headlights. they can however make the kit for projectors or make projectors with the light rings already built in.

27089, Good points... Posted by Soular 96GS, Jul-25-02 03:52 AM
You are right about the round issue. But I have a plan....
The plan calls for dual projectors... and the light rings from the light ring kit.
I think the final product will look good and some what different from the BMW / Civic application.
more later..
