well i just got a pair of the nakiama flat black euro tails they are beautiful. i also got projection headlights in black ... and the ever popular apex-i afc ( not hooked up yet ill get to this later) ...... but as usual the back tails are leaking .. i am now sending them back. i dont know if u guys have sen these back lights yet but they are sooooo awesome i will have picks soon and yes the center piece will be functional again .. i have my drill bit ready ...lol but i dont understand these companies that make these lights .. do they not factor in rain ? do they not factor in the fact that half of us wash our cars 2 or more times a week i mean really

Oh I know exactly what you mean...I don't know how many times ive tried to seal mine up with silicone and been unsuccessfull. I was gonna try putting them in the oven like a lot of people say but im kinda skeptical on sticking plastic in the oven...just doesn't sound like a good idea... But yah get some pics up.

Sorry...I'm kinda not following this....
Do all of the aftermarket tails leak water inside the housing? What exactly does that do to the lights, does it damage them? Even using silicone won't fix it? Sounds like a bad idea to switch... anyone know why they leak?
Lots of questions! :)
Thanks

Poor production to keep costs down i imagine. Same with aftermarket headlights and the back cps falling off and being too loose. Instead of using a rubber gasket they use rubber foamy stuff.

I have the old style completely clear taillights. The actual light pieces are sealed, but the center piece allows water to seep in. It doesn't seem to be sealed at all. So now my center piece is all faded and doesn't match the clear lights. I'll probably end up painting the center piece or swapping it for the stock center piece, if I can find one.
