Mitsu wont tell me how much just the door handle will be, but they say installed it's $115, I'm like BS!. Anyone know how hard it'll be to install myself? what's involved, also how much did the part cost to get from Satan? It always happens when you least expect it......dammit.....was at 711 grabbin some ciggies and POP! I wasnt even pulling hard, just opening the door! I've always been careful! WAAAAAAAHHHHH!

i payed $65 for mine. U can install it yourself, i did. Its kinda tricky so have a chiltons manual just in case. Is the $115 for painting it also? I doubt it but if so, then thats a good deal.

yea, it's 115 painted........pisses me off cause they're saying it's going to have to be special ordered....5 to 7 days, dayum, drivers side too

DUDE go for it! $115 for the handle + paint + install = Very good deal especially from a dealership. I would of paid that when my handle broke.

I'm poor dude, I'd rather go for an aluminum dash kit than pay for a door handle, kinda depressing, but oh well, just did a search...which I should have done in the first place, and found a write up on how to do it with epoxy for 5 bucks....much more in my budget

Yo bro....I tried the epoxy solution and it went POP again. Unfortunately, if you don't get the absolute best epoxy and have it fitted perfectly, chances are it's going to break again just because the amount of force that is constantly being pulled on it by the springs.(or whatever they are) It'd make a temp fix maybe if you can get it to work...but I'd still have the handles on order ready for when you repaint the vehicle. That was my mistake and now I'm having to try and track down handles so I can get repainted before summer is over!!!! :(

I was checkin it out, brought it to my friend last night who does my body work for me, he looked and said there was an older crack, you can notice if you look at the break, it'll be dull, and alot of newer cracks that happened all at once, they'll be shiny, this is definitely a manufacturer screw up, y'all think we should talk to consumer reports or something?

I checked on the internet that has all the TSBs for our car, you know there's one about all the freakin rattles in our cars?! I was amazed! Anyway, nope they dont have one on the list for the handles. yah i went to the dealership the other day and i asked him about a recall on it. he said mitsu wont recall form some bs reason. he said something about how it cracks every time you open the door and it slips out of your hand. every time you do that it gets more and more cracks. its bs cause obviously they werent made out of quality parts and material cause it just shouldnt crack in the first place.

Mine went last August. My local SATAN has a body shop in house. I went through the body shop guy. Get this. $45 for the handle installed and all. Now heres the funny part. I don't know if he went through an other than OEM distributor but he said they come color keyed appropriatelty! Interesting isn't it? IT DID NOT HAVE TO BE PAINTED!

yea, 9D9 had a problem getting the handles off due to the power window assembly...being that I have power windows I'm thinking about getting mitsu to do it, price quote is still $115, where do you live at? I'd pay $45 and take a road trip

wwweeeelllll, good ole Mitsu lied to me, when I actualy got down there, they told me they had black ones in stock and to paint it would be an additional 75, buuuuut, they originally said 115 for it all? nuh uh, 115 just for labor, 75 for the part and 75 paint, SCREW THAT! I'm just gonna get a door pop kit I think and epoxy my handle on for aesthetic reasons, 9D9's havin trouble gettin his handles off, when he gets back next week I'm still gonna get em, I just cant go thru the passenger side any more, ya cant pimp when you have to do that now!
