I'm thinking of taking out the thin piece of the front bumper inside the grill area and making a wire mesh grill out of it since the paint is starting to crack on that piece. Anyone ever done it? What would I use to get that bad boy off? tia

Are you talking about the horizontal urethane piece with the 4 supports on it? i say go for it. Mine broke when i wrecked my car so it is barely hangin in. I was thinking about ripping it out a few weeks ago and putting a grill in. id like to see pics when you are done.

just take some wire cutters and cut it..
thats what i did,it no longer looks like a happy japanese on a roller coaster. it now looks like a mad japanese on a roller coaster about to puke..(no offense to any asians in here)

Yes do it. Seen it done and it's tight. I was thinkin about doin it before I got the kit on.

i never really wanted to take it out. but i do have mesh wire behind it. when you put a front mount on the car it is necessary to remove that stuff so it will fit, so im not looking forward to having to do that.
