I like the hood one also!..did you put them on yourself? I have side decals that I got cheap so if it didnt look good I would just take em off. The only problem they dont have the piece of paper that would be on the outside thats helps to smooth out the air bubbles..I heard if I wet the car and the sticky stuff on the decal I can put it on like that then smooth out the air bubbles?

If its like what i think it is.....yeah wet both sides....then you squeegie out the liquid so that its all smooth and let it sit and dry untill s'all bueno n whatnot...You can get liquid vinyl application stuff from any vinyl sign shoppe.

heh, we kinda did it a lil different....
remove backing of vinyl...wet car with soap/water mix...slap on sticker while its wet and sliding....remove backing rite away...peel and flex vinyl now on the car while its as wet as possible..quickly....then spread out the bubbles as best you can.
Now, I still have a lot of bubbles...but the heat of the sun and the aging of it is going to smooth it out real nice and the bubbles will evaporate (its only water underneath) and it will set into the paint.
The hood one was the easiest to me. But lemme tell you...that shit was hard to do and get JUST rite...man I wouldnt do it again to my car unless I really, really had to...

Hey Mike take a small pin and pop the bubbles..it worked for all the small decals I have on my car now. How did you go around your handles? did you just cut them out after..did you use a razor blade? If so did it leave any marks..
|
26283, RE: sneak peek Posted by guest, Jul-11-02 10:02 AM
jason (iamnotwhoiam) I give all the credit to for the door handles...he did a real nice job...ya we used just razor blades...
Are you SURE i can pop the bubbles with a needle? I got quite a few on the drv side man...i am nervous to do that.

Hey Mike wait a week or 2 b4 you do that to see what ones will evaporate in the sun. After a week all of mine went away and I had quite a few. But after a week they evaporated. The car looks very nice bro. MAD PROPS... Keep it up MIKE...
