I have the APC carbon fiber altezza taillights. Tonight when I unlocked my car with the alarm I noticed that one of the driver's side taillights did not light up. Okay no problem, burnt out bulb. Not the case. The bulb was not in the socket. And it was stuck to some plastic that it had melted a little. So when I tried to put the bulb holder back into the taillight it would not go, because it was melted. These fit really snugly when I put them in so I have a hard time believing it came out because it was loose. I really believe that the plastic APC uses must not be able to handle the heat from the bulb, like the stock taillights, so I think it literally melted it's way out of the socket. The bulb holder still matches up with the 2 little slits and will go into the hole, but because of the larger slit up top being melted, it will not hold itself in place. Does anyone have any idea how to keep the bulb in place? I really do not want to have to put the stock taillights back in. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions would be of great help. Well, first of all,ditch the APC. So far, haven't seen anything that was made by the "American Products Corporation/Comapny?" that wasn't rice. I give a valiant effort not to make my 420A rice, but sometimes it is invitable.But I for sure won't take my happy ass to O'reilly and buy taillights. Besides, Its just a fraction of a turbo (whats more important showing or going?)

As for your question, I can't really give you a valid answer, all I can really say is DITCH THE APC (i have a few acronyms of myself for this brand...)

Sell your taillights to someone who wants to be cool and put your investments into a tubo.

invest in a tubo? you mean tuba? consider that done!

What you can do is to get either some spongy washers, rubber or another material. Put those on the bulb holder so they have to compress when you put the bulb in. They will create tension to hold it in... and I would be very surprised if they melt.

Damn samething happened to me, on both the outer red lences, melted a small hole on both sides. I was pissed it had only been like one month after i bought them (they were the chrome kind). Ive been wanting to put the stock lights back, but im lazy. later

same thing's happened to mine....actually got pulled over the other night cause 'taillight was out' but when i just replaced the bulb that day and when i checked it they just keep popping out....

i like my chromies ;) lets me stand out from the crowd, + i got them real cheap :)

my suggestion is to use the universal tool thats right folks----- duct tape !!!! :)

I got the same kind. Only problem i've had is the center leaking. Which is no longer a problem since i painted the stock center to match the car.
