im gonna be taking out my dash to repaint it in a few weeks and was just wondering what else i should do while its out (like the hvac lighting, etc.). is there anything you guys wish you did while you had ur dashes out? thanks

if it were me, i would be cleaning all the dust and everything out from where the dash to be, thats just me though, ima clean freak.

Well, i 'm new to the thread (howdy) but I would take out all of those nasty orange condoms over the bulbs behind the dash, that color is hideous. I know that the bulbs in the center console don't have them, but behind the dash, I haven't got the slightest idea, I'm afriad to try and take it apart...i lost my chiltons.....

AHHH fresh meat! Well there is no orange condoms n e where in the car, to change the colors of the dash you need to remove alot of stuff and replace alot to make the dash all blue. Do a search with LED HVAC hondahater21 in the search and you will find a bunch of times I explaned this (Maybee admin should put all of it on the mods section?) Go to my site to see hoe to do the HVAC with pics and you dont need the dash out to do that. But with the dash out there is nothing you really can do but paint and clean, there is nothing underthere that you will ever need to get to

i would say make sure you label everything so you can put it back together right!!!

actually, the floor boards have some kinda yellow "condom" thing overthe bulbs on the sides. I took those off. Might have been orange. Can't remeber, but yellow, or orange. "condoms" none the less.

ok, those are the only 2 condoms on the car, and they are yellow

actually when i did my hvac mod, i was able to pull an orange film off my old bulb.

Remember having another person there to help put the dash back on helps!! and make sure you have all the plugs and wires and what not out from underneeth the dash...... took me some lookin to find mine ughhhh NEVER AGAIN!

wow, I got the dented drivers side fender mod too :) Right now its been pounded out and its slathered in bondo. Waiting to be sanded
