This guyselling CF hoods on ebay.. I emailed him asking who makes the hood and he told me he does and it takes him about 2 days to make 1 hood. He gave me a price of $250 and shipping is about 100-140..I email him back about a groupbuy on 5 hoods. I was thinking $300 shipped . If someone is nearby maybe they could go check on the quality of the hoods..I dont know what the difference is between a good hood and a bad one other than fitment gel coat and its skeleton.his email ifanyone wants to ask him questions jd5stars@yahoo.com I dont want the groupbuy to go through me I just want to try to get it started..I believe he is in CA when I hear back from him on price for 5 hoods Ill let ya know.

things you might look out for are how many layers of CF does he apply (mine you can literally see through the hood in a few spots) and also if he wraps the CF around the edges. On mine the edges are all rough because it wasn't wrapped. But for 250 bucks each I wouldn't expect a grade A CF hood.

jk yea thats how my fiber images hood was.. kinda rough on the edges.. same with this kaminari hood i seen

honestly the imoto.com hood is one of the best ive seen so far, it just doesnt have the fit quality like the FI did though.

hahaha... but the question is how much did you shell out for your hood? I won't say on here becuase of the flood of emails I would probably receive, but let's just say I didn't have to break open the piggy bank ;)

He told me today was if we have 5 he was only knocking off $10 so $240. I emailed him again with a bunch of questions..ill keep ya posted but I will not buy unless someone could go see them in person.

We are in Irwindale. The hood has no rolled edges,has gel coat,3 top layers,3 bottom layers,with stock latch. The carbon fiber is made by Sigmater from U.K. one carbon fiber layer on top,and one fiber glass at the bottom. We had made eclipse hoods before and we take money order,cashieer check,cash. The name of the business is JD. thanks

He has a lot of CF for sale but hasent sold any...and you check his profile he has only sold like type "r" emblems for $9bucks..all small crap. Im thinking maybe a way to build up his profile they try to make a killing on the hoods and get the money through paypal and hide! What if you don't want to pay with your credit card and want to send a money order to him? I'm not planning on the CF hood cuz I'm spending what little money I have onother mods, but he'd have to give his address out if you were to send him any form of money besides credit card and paypal. Try that to get his address. =)

You guys, you get what you pay for, period. I don't think the edges are rolled and I don't think the fitment is exactly perfect. Higher price means higher quality. If you want high quality I can get you ones for $600 shipped.

OK, so how much do they weigh and is the weave tight?

you guys are going to have a very hard time finding wrapped edges for under about 700 bucks. mine is a Fiber Images and its edges aren't wrapped. i have actually yet to see a wrapped hood in person.

my imoto.com hood is wrapped when i get my car back ill take more shots of the underside

oh and faster i payed 0.00 dollars for my first cf hood, and the 2nd was free.. so eff of bic..
nah but for real, i got into this 4 car pile up in NY in aug of 2000 i was the last car and my brakes locked up and i slide into this 84 maxima.. and my car was so low then it just bent her muffler some and jacked my shit up
so body shop said 1900 for new headlight and hood.
and to repaint my stock bumper
so they gave me 1400
told the bank what my plan was they said cool deal.. bought the cf hood , projectors and had the bozz evo3 bumper.. im pimp deal with it
