what is the normal price for a good paint job in the northeast? i was just quote for like 3000-3500$ for a paint job with bodykit install. The guy was saying everything has to come off even the rubber around the windows, how accurate is this?

did you say that includes the body kit??? even then seems really high. i havent had mine painted but i would think for that price you better be getting custom graphics and everything!!! i wouldnt pay more than 2G myself.

20/20 here in socal charges around 3500 because they are good and know it. Some shops bumper up their prices a lot due to popularity and wanting lotsa money. around 2000 is a good price. In your area, I'd say 2500 would be good.

where in the north east..... if your by NYC and it includes putting the kit on and doing all the glass work than it is average...... let us know where your from first..........

im payin 2300 bucks for a new paint job, and im from PA, with no body kit just a paint job with a pearl added

come down south.. spent my first 18 years of my life in NY.. and now the last 3 in florida.. its so much cheaper down south and people are way nicer.. i love fl.. but anyways..
i payed 1700 for all body work
shaving door handles, antenna and stock spoiler holes
molding in sides and rear
putting kit on and painting whole car
light silver with a fushca pearl
painted my middle tail and mirrors too
and this was a quality job though the paint i feel could of been a tad bit better.. but i can complain for the price i payed

i guess up north them prices arent to bad..

guy with the 2300 paint job in PA, pearl isnt that $$$ so try not to let them jack up prices on it.. marcus am i right here isnt pearl cheap.. its just hard to lay right, and you dont want to little and you dont want to much.. if the guy can lay pearl good then the paint will look sick.. i love mine when the sun hits it.. hes got the perfect amount in it..

lol, ya i know its not much money he is addin 100 bucks for pearl, but anyway i got my stock spoiler holes welded up and put a turbo wing on too, ill get some pics up sometime

Ya a full bottle of pearl is 100 bucks, and most shops will charge 100 extra for the pearl. But they must know how to spray it if they put it in the clear. Some color paints are more expensive, like my paint used three different pearls and 4 different base colors mixed together. A couple of the base colors will more expensive then the others. I think red is really expensive.

I didn't mean to scare you or anything, it's not THAT expensive. Let's just say a cheap color might be 40 a quart, and red might be 60, it depends on the tones and also the brand. I'm talking about PPG here.

For those who don’t know, this is what the guy at the body shop told me about prices.

Black, white, yellow= the cheapest

Blues, and greens= medium price

Red= The most expensive

But of course that’s not dealing with brand, type, or other factors.

i paid 2500 for this paint job and it came out nice no orange peel or anything so i was very happy. it's close to stock but it's a custom color too..........
