23197, I have the answer to Fogged or Scratched headlights!!! Posted by jeffgsu, May-28-02 03:00 PM
Wetsanding and toothpaste didnt work for me so I went on a quest today to find a chemical that would remove the fog/scratched stuff off my 95 eclipse headlight. I FOUND IT!!! After going to three places i finally went to Autozone. They sell a product called "Blue Magic - Plastic & Plexiglass Cleaner and Light Scratch Remover". I had one new headlight and one fogged headlight. Now i have two new looking headlights. This stuff works wonders. It completely cleared the plastic on my headlight. I'm not exaggerating at all either, it surprised the hell out of me. I feel like i have a new car now. just thought i'd spread the finding... jeff

I agree with you. If the fogging/haze is on the outside only, then this stuff is for you. If it's on the inside then your gonna need to take the headlights apart and clean both sides. Luckily the haze was on the outside for me so it cleared it right up. jeff

Here are the pictures of my headlight that i cleared out. Sorry i dont have the before pics but everyone knows what a fogged/hazed headlight is. There's quite a few out there. This headlight was extremely fogged/hazed. It was yellow in color. This is what it looks like after i cleaned it with Blue Magic Plastic & Plexiglass Cleaner and Light Scratch Remover.
