2300, Too low for a body kit???
Posted by 9D9 MITSU RS, Mar-21-01 01:56 PM
I have a 99 RS and I have 17" enkei katana wheels. I have it lowerd on Eibach sportline springs and have 40 series tires. I want the front bumper at the top of the page on asylumms.com. The white one at the very top. Can anyone tell me about how much ground clearance I will have? Are body kit bumpers lower than stock size?

they arent significantly lower, it depends on the bumper. for instance, ground designs 2000's bumpers are made to lower the car. my friends accord was lowered 2.5" and when he got his GD2K kit he had to raise it back to a 1" drop because the bumper was so low, now he has 2.5" of clearance all around. my car is lowered 4 inches with the blitz bumper and i have 2" of clearance on the side of the front bumper. the bumper slants up (like some do) and is about 4" in the front. so for reference with your 1.8" drop you should have about 4.5-5" of clearance, plenty of room to work with basically

I got a 2" drop on mine and i got a Neo Blitz bumper and it isn't too bad as long as you don't cut the front bump stops. It will be a lil bumpy with them in but it will save you ground effects!
