what can I use to restore the black color of my fill in peices on my front bumper, you know the fog light openings and the ones next to them, they're faded to hell and looks like crap since I had my bumper repainted, should I take em off and paint em flat black or use some kinda restoring gel?

those pieces that surround the fog lights are like 7 bucks a piece from oem-car-parts.com. Im sure the other ones are pretty cheap too.

theres a good solution for those faded peices or others (window trim, winshield cowl, etc).. goto pepboys and pick up the autotrim paint.. get the plain black (flat).. if the peice is scuffed (the window moldings on the doors do this, then mask off and sand smooth with a medium/fine grit paper (dry).. then run over the area with some prepsol and then water.. you can then prime if you like otherwise start to apply small sprays of the trim paint.. afterwards to make it appear like stock with some amerol (sp?) on it run a few coats of gloss clear on it.. looks perfect (i did this with the trim that runs below the windows on the doors.. i have pics of the process if your interested.

You can try Back-To-Black if you don't want to paint it. It looks great for a while, but it will fade away after a couple weeks.

The reason I wouldnt paint those pieces is that they are on the front of the car. They are going to be hit with rocks and whatnot and chip the paint off. By the time you paint them a couple times you could have just bought new ones and had them last a lot longer.

Just take them out, looks better in my opinion, plus more airflowage goin on.

im w/ryan on dis one... take em out... looks soooo much better, imo..

u can even make em functional if u are creative ;-)

i ended up filing off the extra peices inside the fog light holes, and it looks way better...

cant wait til i have to dremel out the mouth a lil for an fmic

take em to a body shop and have them painted with a low gloss. They wont chip.

Take 'em off. Get some fog lights and chicken wires to fill 'em in.

i dont have any and the wind from driving on the interstate tore the black plastic in front of my tires. its in the exact shape of the front air dam hole, just a little bigger
