22506, Anyone have a viper alarm system? need tech help
Posted by Mystic511, May-17-02 09:19 AM
Last week a blew the fuse for my parking lights... finally fixed the problem (I pinched a wire by accident)..

But now, the parking lights don't blink when I arm or disarm the alarm. I was wondering is there a seperate fusebox for the alarm?

I found a fuse box on the driver side near the hood release... but i tested all the fuses and they all worked.

I'm confused, anyone have any suggests?

You probably blew the parking light fuse for the alarm. Find your alarm brain, and find the white wire going to it, there should be a 10 amp(red) fuse in it close to the alarm brain. That should take care of it...

i'm having trouble finding the brain.. i tried following the line all the way from the alarm horn to wherever it was, but it leads behind the firewall... it gets really confusing after that.

Thanks for the heads up though, i'm sure i'll find it sooner or later, just have to start taking shit apart. haha

the parking light wire is white, and it should be attached to a green/white wire in the car. check the inline fuse near the brain, which should be a black box about the size of your hand or smaller.
