22281, fittin bracket on sliders Posted by nappyjim, May-13-02 12:51 PM
k=i just got some Tenzo R adjustable seats. But I am having trobules puttin the bracket on the sliders. The bracket gets screwd oonto the slider in 4 spots. like this.
X X
X X
now, i got 3 in fine, but the last one, the slider has a little metal lip that you have to fit thru a hole in the bracket, but the bracket hole is a lil to small for the thing to fit.
If you have this seat and bracket, u will know what I am talking about. So how do I fit that thing in there?

ok, heres a lil more clarification if you didnt understand me the first time. Heres my bracket and where the holes are
X X <-----
X X
The X with the pointer is the one i am having problems with. It is the front holes, closest to the center console.
Bascially, my bracket has 4 holes where the X's are. My slider have a little metal plate(around 4 inch long, 2 inch wide) coming off of them with 3 holes. I am assuming the 3 seperate holes are for how low or high u need your seat. It looks like the thing below.
___ | | | O | | O | <- lines goin vertical"|" are supposed to line up. | O | <- doesnt show correctly when i post it. |__ |
So bascailly I line up the holes oon that metal plate to the holes on the bracket, slip the screw thru the holes on the plate and screw it into the bracket.
Now this works fine the side closest to my drivers do. But on the front one of the right side, I have to slip that metal plate thru a opening in the bracket in order to get the holes to line up. Prob is, the hole in the bracket is too small for this plate. I tried puttin the plate in sideways and then turning it to the correct spot, but the plate just starts to bend if I do that.
I dont know wtf to do. Someone on here has to have a Tenzo R seat and got the brackets on. Good Lord, please.

thats what i was thinking my only option would be is to cut the stell bigger. i just dont get why the fuck they do that. I mean, i know there has to be some normal way to get it in there. Maybe they sell a sepcial size slider or something, who knows.
Thanks for the help hondahater, now i gotsa see if my dad has a dremel. Would a electric drill bit cut steel or no?
