I am getting ready to drop my car and was wondering what am I gonna need to do this. I'm going with eibach sportline springs what else do you all recommend. Some ppl say front and rear camber kit and rear lower strut bar. Lemme know for those of you that have experience in dropping your car right. Thx guys

definitely front and rear camber kit, as you are dropping 2"+. no NEED for a strut bar, but it would be nice. also, i highly recommend going with aftermarket shocks/struts, because your stock ones won't hold up that long with the drop.

oh yeah, btw, if you're gonna do it yourself, be sure to get your hands on a spring compressor. what i did was rent one from pep boys. the compressor costs $50 to purchase it, so you have to leave a $50 deposit, but once you bring it back, they'll give you your money back.

what all comes with the eibach pro kit? And what kind of aftermarket shocks/struts do you recommend?

I dont have pro kits, but I am almost 100% positive that all that would come in the box would be the springs, instructions and some stickers. Check some old posts for some strut suggestions

A spring compressor is not necessary. The stock springs have very little pressure behind them. Just turn the strut assembly upside down with a socket underneith and turn the entire assembly until it pops out. Just put a little downforce on the assembly while you're turning it. My little 100 lb. brother did one for me, so trust me... you don't need a compressor! :)

Ok well if someone could tell me this. What all do I really need here. I really don't have all the extra money to be buying things if I really don't need them. I know everyone has an opinion and that is why I am just breaking it down here. In a nut shell what do I absolutly need to drop my car 2" safe and effectively. Im talking about springs, camber, and struts/shocks you name it...to do this right, but cost efficent. Like I said I like to do it right but don't want to spend an arm and a leg here. So if someone can break it down with what brand, All items needed, and and estimate on cost. I am gonna do all the labor so don't need to account for that. Thx guys I really appricite it and sorry for not knowing this, but im learning.

im on used intrax (100$) 15 dolla rear camber kit... and thats it...for now at least...

to do it right, its shox, struts, and camber kit for both front and rear.

get it aligned after u do any suspension werk, and get the "toe" zeroed out... use the camber printout to see what amount of correction you will need to stay within factory spec...

corbin has a good writeup on strut/spring install w/all the torque specs. also, VFAQ.com has a decent walkthru of installin coilovers..
