I guess it just depends on your deffinition of insane..... what kinda mods r u looking for? tail conversions? headlight conversions? fenders? custom vents? hood scoops? or stuff less common than that?

My guess would be some home made mods like the tail conversions and what not. I love the diablo door conversion myself even though he said his shit leaks a lot if it rains. But sorry I have no mods like that for you.

I don't have pics posted yet(no scanner), but the car is in the shop for some "insane" body mods if you wanna call it that. Here's the list so far of what's been done and what's going to be done.

Done:
Blitz front, invader sides, kombat rear all molded
Shaved handles and gas door, gas filler behind tailight
GS-X wing removed and holes filled

Being done now:
Acura NSX air ducts molded into the rear quarters
Targa Topped roof (I think I'm one of the first to attempt this)
Lamborghini hinged doors

Once all the body work is finished, it'll be painted back NorthStar white but with a blue pearl. So far my car has been shopped for 1 1/2 months with another 4-6 on the way. Interior is finished and waiting to go back in.

People have done all of those but not on the same car. Thats going to look pretty tight.

Yea, I've seen a few with the Lambo doors and MR2 side scoops, but I wanted to be a little different so I went with the NSX, not much difference though. As far as the top, I've yet to see anyone with it, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been done. I just haven't seen it so I figured what the hell, go ahead and do that too. Lucky for me, my bodyman was wanting to show off his talents on a import since their the "new thing" so the only thing I'm paying for is the materials, hehe.

I am thinking of doing nsx ducks and fender flares so I am just looking for pics of anything that flows nicely. In my area nobody has ever attempeted to do something like that and I am bored so I am trying to get the money for the vents and lares right now. Please post of whtever I am just trying to get good ideas right now.

BTW anybody know where to get nsx ducts please let me know.

theres an eclipse out here that has a targa top, how are you going to reinforce the chassis or do you not care about your body twisting and flexing and creaking and what not?

As for the ducts, I got mine from Aerogear. To the strength question, I've got a NHRA approved full roll cage that's already in there (first thing after ripping out interior), I acquired it out of 9-10 sec eclipse drag car so it's gonna the car pretty stiff. Also I have front and rear strut bars. All that is probaly not going to be enough to stop it, but it will hold it down. Plus, when all this finished my car will no longer be a "daily driver" so it's not going to have all of the stress a daily would.
