DONT EVER EVER EVER TAKE UR CAR TO :

Advantage Collision
3901 Dunvale
Houston TX 77063

Ph 713-278-9292

DO NOT EVER EVEN DRIVE PAST THOSER FUCKERS.

I just stopped by there. I am getting so fucked hard by these guys. Bumper was STILL not painted. I finally saw the wing, ya they fixed the holes and damage, but they forgot a crack along the inside line on the drv side. GAWD DAMNIT! I swear when I get my car back the exterior is DONE. Fuck skirts, fuck the hatch holes from the 3pc spoiler, and FUCK the whole car! _|_

I am going by there tommorow at noon. It WILL be done. OR I am getting my primered ass parts back and I'm going to install them back on my car, and fucking spray paint all over the wing and bumper how disgusted i am of that shop and cuss words and dont ever call them, "this is the fine qaulity of..." etc and make my statement.

I am getting a fucking lawyer too.

That's fucking crazy... I think we should all give them a call and request that Mike's work be done correctly for free. If not, we'll contact the BBB. We're a team, so let's help him out. }>

Well it wouldn't be fair for us to all file fake reports with the BBB. This is one case of really bad work, but Mike, I don't think a lawyer is worth is since it's only $125. A good lawyer will charge you $125 just for an hour hehe. Also, they honestly have no obligation to fix your wing since you broke it yourself. Not trying to stand up for the shop or anything, but I honestly think you should just try to calm down and sit back and think about this. You are out $125, plus the crack on the wing. Maybe if you do pick up the parts, they will give you back your money. It's not worth stressing about this, shiet always happens. Don't let it get to you. Good luck.

mike, i talked to the shop that's painting my car right now, and the owner said he's done an eclipse with the exact same bumper you have, and it is IMPERATIVE that the shop scuffs the entire bumper with 400 grit sand paper then preps it with a flexible primer. i was telling him about your misfortune, and he said

"no matter what, that cover will never be ok, because the base layer is sitting on slippery, smooth un prepped urethane. from the viewpoint of a bodyshop owner, it'd be stupid to even attempt spraying on top of that unstable coat. it'd be a waste of time to try feathering the remaining paint in attempt to spray over it. the new coat is only goint to chip off because the layer beneath it isn't gripping anything. at this point, there are two options: attempt to remove ALL paint in every single part of the bumper and restart the project, or #2, which would be for the shop to accept it as a learning experience and suck up the cost for a brand new bumper cover. sometimes when you figure out the correct way to paint on a certain surface, you find out the hard way."

hope this helps.

That's not really fair, Ryan. Myke didn't wasnt to be out the money he already paid them. Plus they were fixing his wing for free after he messed it up. He was giving them the benefit of the doubt hoping they would come through. Guess they didn't. Live and learn man. I once paid 50 bucks for a brake job on my Honda(my first car, didn't know how to do them back then) cuz I didn't want to pay $179 at Satan. That guy f>>ked up my rotors so bad I had to get new ones a month later for $350.

I was surprised to read ur comment myself ryan, coming from you. I am not gonna get mad about it though, but remember this my friend...some people on this board work their ass off to put the mods on their car, they dont shit out money or sell drugs to support their hobby. I didnt have much money to start with to get the bumper painted, so it only hurt me worse. Don't you think I would have taken elsewhere by now? Think boy!
