they are the same size, you use 1156 for single filament and 1157 for dual filament. The easiest way to remember is ask yourself how many inensity levels does it produce? Brake lights have an intensity for nighttime/parking and higher I for stop lights. all else only has one I

so basically u need 1156 :)

Wrong - Wrong - Wrong.

Your all wrong. The Bumper lights uses Wedge Bulbs 168.

The Parking Lights uses 1157 Dual Filment Bulbs. (Dual because one is for the parking light and the other is for the turn signal. If you ever notice when you turn on your parking light and then turn on your turn signal the parking light gets brighter. That's because it running both filment.

Trust me on this. I just install a set of:

PIAA Plasma Blue 168 for the Bumper Lights

PIAA Super Plasma H3 for the Low Beam

PIAA Super Plasma H1 for the High Beam

PIAA Xtreme White 1157 for the Parking Light

Can you tell I like PIAA. Just got a great deal on a Package Buy.

You're right. The bumper lights (clear bumper lenses) use the wedge bulbs 168 (they are tiny). The 1156 (single filament) and 1157 (dual filament) are huge bulbs.
