What's the best way to get rid of bugs stuck on hoods and front bumpers? I'm talking about bug guts that's been stuck for like a year even after many car washes.

Damn a year? If its been on there that long it may have gone down throught the paint. But I use this stuff from walmart called power spray and it will take anything sticky

i use armor all all purpose cleaner for cars. but after a year, that shit might be stuck

nope.

maybe if you have a cheap paint job. my car is stock white and i use it occasionally to take off road tar and everything. paint still looks like new and the car is a 97.

Go to an autoshop (Autozone, Pep Boys, Autobarn, etc...) and pick up a can of Tar and Bug Remover. Its made by Gunk and comes in a blue aerosol can. Works good and wont damage your paintjob.

All i can say is that whenever you get bugs on the front end or where ever, get them off as quickly as possible. If left on for too long, the bugs will eat through the clear coat and into the paint. Bugs have acid in them, and this is what does the damage. If they have been on there for a year, don't expect it to look like new again, its already done the damage. Get it high speed buffed out, and this may help, but you will probably still see the marks where the bugs were...I don't let bugs stay on my car for more than a few days if i can. Gas will work well, just don't rub the hell outa it when taking off the bugs..

I already have Tar and Bug remover but I just wasn't sure if it will mess up the paint. The paint is probably ruined already but I thought I'd ask anyways.
