Ok guys this is your chance to laugh at me, or tell me something stupid you have done with your car to make me feel better. But I painted my dash this weekend. Thinking I would save some money, I bought the larger can of spray paint (same color and everything) only it didnt turn out to be the same color. I didnt think it looked right, but I thought it would brighten up some when I clear coated. But it didnt. So I put it back in, then started putting my doors in and said oh sh*t. I was gonna just paint all the doors the same as the dash (I did the doors with the smaller cans) but I like the color on the doors better. So I just went and bought more paint, and took it out again. Looks like Ill be driving my grocery getter to work this week, while trying to find some spare time to repaint. F*CK!

Hey 2 questions for ya...

1st off did you have to take the steering wheel off to get the dash out?

and 2nd did you use regular spray paint or did you use the vinyl dye?

Im asking bc I am planning on taking my dash out to paint it with the duplicolor vinyl dye. I was thinkin this bc I did my armrest cover with it and it looks really good. Is the armrest cover the same material as the dash? seems like it to me but ive been wrong b4. So if anyone can help me out I would appriciate it. The dash is the last thing I want to F up you know. no offence.

Yeah I used the same stuff and it turned out awesome looking, just the wrong color. Yes I did take the steering wheel off. its not that hard. If you need some help let me know, Im planning on writing a tutorial on taking it out, I already took the pictures.
