check speedoptions news section, autometer has made the dash cluster gauge pod for us now. holds 2 gauges behind the steering column and replaces the piece thats already there. chalk me up for 2 more gauges...hmm, maybe ill go ahead and get the boost and EGT and then the fuel pressure to go in my steering wheel. thats a healthy 9 gauges once i get a tach. just call me gaugeman. anyone selling an ultra-lite tach with shift light? God knows i need one, i cant see my tach anymore.

Do you where I could buy one from and how much they cost?

They have them in stock at Autometer but haven't shipped any yet. The list is $85.15 but buying from a distributor will be cheaper. I suggest that you get on the horn with your local shop and get one ordered. I know i did! :) Thanks for heads-up cyan, I've been looking for this for awhile.

Freeking awesome!

I was starting to investigate making a gauge pod like this. Glad I don't have to now!

I'm gonna order one of these very soon too, if I can get it for a good price. I have a 3-gauge pillar pod, but never installed it - too ricey for me I decided.

if anyone finds a pic of the Eclipse one, be sure to post it. The Honda one they show mounts the gauges off to the sides, but I think they'd fit better in the center on out cars.

just curious...how is a pillar pod ricey? dotn get me wrong, i would ask you this even if i didnt have one, it just seems like the ultimate anti-rice mod, if youre monitoring your motor that religiously with gauges, you gotta be running something mean right? or either youre just a very careful driver

it could be ricey because people could mount gauges (maybe some that dont even work) to make it seem like they have a built up car... in other words: just doing it for the looks.

true. I perhaps should have used a different term. I was sort of meaning that they draw certain kinds of attention to your car (i.e police). I like my car to look sort of 'stealth', and pillar gauge pods are fairly visible.

The real reason I got it was I was still thinking at that time of racing my car, and wanted to have the temp and pressure gauges visible without having to take my eyes off the track. I have now decided to save up and get a 1G turbo as my 'track-beater', and keep my GS as daily driver. If I wreck the 1G, no big loss but a bit of cash. I _really_ don't want to hurt my Eclipse...
