Ive been slowing painting my interior, piece by piece. so far only the plastic stuff is being painted. but i noticed some pieces feel kinda grainy like sand paper, mainly my glove box and the 2 floor peices under the dash. did you guys notice this? the only thing i can figure is i didnt put enough coats on like i did with the smaller stuff. or is there 2 types of plastic in the car?? i used that duplicolor stuff, looks good and doesnt chip, but feels like sand paper.

any advice?

try using a finer grit sandpaper and go over it again. maybe the lowest grit wet sand paper. i did mine with the 180 grit dry paper and it's smooth as can be. try either the highest grit dry sandpaper or the lowest grit wet sandpaper and that should take care of it

Defenitely! Try sanding it down with really fine paper and you should be fine. Wet sanding is worth a shot.

if your sanding your painted pieces use a 1000 or higher wet/dry paper and i would wet sand it nice and even. then clear coat the thing and if it's got dust in it repeat the sanding process but use a 1400 or higher paper
