I heard that you can spray paint your carpet but wouldn't that wear off easily? Is there somewhere that sells the carpeting for an eclipse? All I want is black...
Thanks, Fearless

I believe Evan has done this to his carpet. But I remember him saying that he'd have to spray it on a regular basis for shows.

Best stuff to use is a liquid dye. I did mine wanting to make them black, but the dye i used wan't dark enough. It made them a darker shade of grey. Get a black dye, and it will look great, and never come off. You can get fabric dyes at many places, and most you just use a sponge or spray it on, and just rub it in the carpet. Use latex gloves though :) I don't have a name for the stuff i used, but we have it at my shop since we also do full detailing..I have also heard that JC Whitney sells perfect cut replacement black carpet, but i never found it on their site.

Get with kaptain mike... Cant remember what he used, but his looked pretty good. I used Rit dye(black), and it made it a lot darker, but not what i was hoping for.

i used vinyl spray first one it and had to touch it up lots.. then after a year or so.. i used RIT black dye just one package.
and i did them in like 20 mins and it came out great and stays . you guys who did it and didnt like it.. show pics so we can compare..
thinking maybe becaues mine was already black my rit dye just made it darker
but if you check out JCW.. there was a add for a comp calls ACS (not acc mats) they have eclipse 91-99 carpert.. 200bucks though.. rather spend 2 bucks on the dye
