18779, how hard is it to install undercar glow kits?

I'm wanting a little undercar glow kit and I was wondering how hard it is to install

Not hard at all, but the hardest part is running/securing the wires under the car. The tubes use a clamp that goes over the tubes, and you screw that down to the car. Most kits give you similar clamps that are smaller to fit on the cable, and you screw that down. You crimp the cable ends together, and use the supplied heat shrink tubing to seal the connection. You mount the transformer under the hood, and you can run the on/off switch wiring throug the firewall, and to the switch. A car lift would make it much easier, but a floor jack will be fine to get under the car. I suggest Street Glow Gold series kits, they are very good, and are less suseptable to breakage than most other kits i have had experience with...

forget the neons and get a performance mod, like exhaust, intake, etc.
You'll thank me later

c'mon, man... maybe he doesn't want performance and that's why he's posting in the interior/exterior section! Or maybe he got a free kit he wants to put on his car. Who knows?!?... sheesh!

Dude, calm down. It was only a suggestion. The reason I suggested this was because Ive bought different neon lights, color domelights, etc. for my car. Personally I feel that my exhaust was a way better value than any of the lights. Since Soldier has no performance mods, he might appreciate the advice to choose at least one performance mod over neon. I know I sure would of appreciated such advice.

BTW what makes you think there is a possibility he got a free kit? He says it right out in his post that he wants to get one.

Anyways sorry if I offended any of you with neons on your car.

Yeah some like the neons, and some don't, but do what you want to do. I have had neons on 2 of my other cars, and at night, it really does look pretty sweet. I am contemplating on putting some white neon underbody kit on my car, but thats mostly for the weekends here. Every fri and sat night in the summer, about 150+ cars get together at an outside plaza parking lot, and with the car there for show, the lights look really cool. It illegal here in MI anyway to drive with them on. The only thing i'm not really fond of is all the inside neon tubes i see in some cars. They have all these tubs just plasterd everywhere, and it looks kinda tacky IMO. Highlighting audio setups is very sweet looking, but just blatantly placing them everywhere doesn't go over to well with me. A nice clean car, with some show, and some underbody neon, looks really nice at night..Ricy? maybe, but not too much if in moderation..

Wouldn't they break if your car is lowered? i bottom out ALL the time on my 2" drop. Or is there a place to "tuck" it in under the body?

im planning on getting the streetglo gold series soon. Im more show than go but i just want to make my car look good. I don't look down on anyone who decides to go performance first or show first as long as its an ECLIPSE...you feel me. If you have an eclipse your straight you know...this is IMO of course.

i put blue neons under mine. go with the streeetglo gold series. ive had them about 9 months and no problems. i dont care what anyone says they look good, and people who say they dont deep down inside know they do. neons been around forever and looks good in any car i say, inside or out if you do it right. installation is easy. for the sides i used the existing screws that hold my side skirts in place. the holders push the lights back and up and they are not really noticable unless you lay on the ground. and dont listen to the guys.. girls are the ones who like neon lights. do it for them!!

ricey?? sure.. why the hell not?
