i was just wondering if gun metal and opal are black i mean how balck are they are they light black becase the pics of thre rims i whant i cand tell i am getting the konig 18 inch Absolutes in eithier opal silver or gun metal?

Gunmetal is like dark grey, opal is like a shinny dark silver.

Ya gunmetal is like a charcoal gray color. Black opal is more shiny. It also depends on what company you buy it from. 5Zigen's gunmetal looks super shiny.

hey evulflea...i dare you not to be a dick. if you took the "freakin" (as you put it) time to look at the link he left you would know the site he was looking at doesn't have pics of the different colors to differentiate from. just like eclipse804 said it depends on the company who makes the wheel. the gunmetal velox rims are a really shiny/glossy gray color while volk gunmetal rims are considerably darker than most (i.e. te37's). just search the net (www.google.com) and try to find pics so you can judge for yourself which Absolute's you like better. good luck.

Well, it's like this, you can describe the color all you want but I think what Evulflea meant by, "go look at a freaking picture" is that you will get a better idea that way, I mean I can say a million things about the differences between the two BUT what I think about a color might be different than what somebody else does. Isn't it something along the lines of "a picture is worth a thousand words?" Anyhow, it's not that hard to "find" a freaking picture. go to Whalentire.com and they have the different opals, gunmetals in there side by side.
