18269, Project Stillen : pt 2
Posted by guest, Mar-27-02 11:54 AM
Welp the front is on now. SIMPLE. Easy as hell....the only thing I dont like is a minor gap below the headlites and where the bumper is....very small...I think I mite know what to do to pull that area back up a lil bit...gonna zip tie to the crossmembers below headlites, then remount headlites. I scrape NONE whatsoever, hell better than the stock bumper was. I took it down some normal daily routes and areas where I scraped before I did not now with the front end. I had 1 person at Sam's Wholesale (getting gas, tia) already ask me what kinda front that was and I had a lotta looks, haha. This damn car dont even look like the same car! :)

Lemme know what u think...should be painted either next mon/tues or depending on finances I mite wait until the 15th....$125 tax/labor included down the street off dunvale....I'm getting hooked up, and he does EXELLENTE work.

heres the porno...take a peeps....

word :)

Ok fine I won't make any skirt jokes...

So how do you pronounce "Stillen" Mike? (inside joke I guess)

Looks very nice, for $487 it better look nice though ;)
I am actually surprised there is any gap under the headlights.

Just think how fast your car could be if all that show money went into turboing the car. Looks good though. I love that front end.

I think I'll always have my stock bumper on. The only show thing I might do is get rims. But that would be after I was stage 3.

Lookin good, but I'd be pissed about that headlight gap if I payed 487 for a front bumper. With fiberglass, you could easily fill that gap hehe. Looks good though...

Yo Mikey if you want to buy my handles the guy could probably spray them for you for free and than you could swap some weekend. Save you the $150 labor/time.

WTF, you bought a front bumper before side skirts? damn mike...STILLaINt got no side skirts.
yeah i had the headlight gap for one day, the day i took the pic after having the bumper painted, it wasnt the bumper, it was the light, the passenger side wasnt bolted down on the bottom rear side...check that, otherwise its the bumpah!
check it...adjust that shit:

get the pilot OEM fog light kit IMO. Really, I know someone who has a stillen front. Their's came with fog lights on it already. And they got it new. It's a guy who owns a wheel shop here. His daughter drives it tho. It's painted this lavender metallic color.

1. Ordered new rainbow colored (changes from blue to yellow to green to purple, etc) driving/fog lites that are an exact fit match to the holes in the bumper....should be here in 5-7 days.

2. I will most likely not get a rear bumper unless I get a REALLY good deal on one. I have yet to see a rear bumper that I am impressed with.

3. Sides are on the way soon.

4. cf hood is expected to be priority in a few months.

5. Also ordered energy susp motor mounts and red shift knob

6. Spraying is an option for me soon down the road also.....

7. Trying to get a white windsheild stillen banner...seen em on ebay before for like $10 or sum shizzz

i think that about covers it for now....:)

Mikey...

I'm sure some of these have been answered already, but I'm a lazy bitch, so......

- It looks like you kept the stock bumper support thingy (the thing that protects the front end in the event of a crash). Is this true? Any clearance problems?

- Urethane (SP?) or Fiberglass?

- Where did you get it?

- What is the guy charging you to get it painted?

18293, RE: Project Stillen : pt 2
Posted by guest, Mar-28-02 05:18 AM
1. $125 to paint it/prep it

2. yes I am still using the stock bumper re-enforcement

3. that headlite gap is bugging me!
