I want to accent some of my interior in black. I have the all gray interior with black trims, but I want a little more black in there. Heres my question... I want it to look factory, not super-glossy/super-smooth. I want to keep that little bit of texture thats on the plastic now. Whats the best way of doing this?

get some prepsol and prep it, primer it and then paint it? if its too dull then do a gloss cleat coat.

Not the seats or anything, just the dark gray/black dash. Anyone know is theres a pattern to this interior? If it came in certain models, trims, etc? Thanks guys.

Get yourself some DupliColor or Plasti-Kote spray paint vinyl spray. I sprayed my entire insides red, then made white inserts. Right down to red pillars, and a red headliner. You can do it, dont be scared if it will chip...its paint..just sand and spray over if it does chip. Also, be sure you spray from a distance (ie., 1 foot away) at least so the paint dont run or drip, etc... Other than that, just tape the hell outta your windsheild with masking tape and newspaper and remove all ur dash plastic pieces (ALL pop out with a flathead screwdriver and maybe a few phillips screws), put a shirt over ur steering wheel column/wheel and remove the gauge bezel/cluster / console electronic module and spray away, go to town. Get some black and spray the carpet about 5 times....FIVE. Then it wont come off anymore with feet or daily use. I didnt sand shit or do anything, i just cleaned with brillo sponge and anti-bacterial spray soap. Mine is just fine....if u wanna see pics go to my website. Kaptain mike is right. I have the EXACT same interior as you do, except mine came stock with a little more black. Vents, etc. It doesnt look that impressive. Ive been converting everything that is black to white. (my car is white) and it looks sooo much better. but eventually i wanna get rid of the grey. maybe make the grey black. the only thing stoping me is the grey leather seats. im not ready to swap those out yet. anyway.. painting the interior of the car is fun as hell!! do it!!

Thats waht Im lookin for. Not the tan, but where your black is... That looks sooo much better than my gray.

Just some advice before you go painting stuff. Make sure everything is REALLY clean. The paint sticks to the surface rather well but only if it's clean. Wash, soap, dry, maybe use rubbing alcohol if you see some dirt still stuck to it. REALLY clean surfaces work wonders.
