18147, Another stupid "neon" question Posted by JohnnyCorona, Mar-26-02 09:34 AM
I need to buy some interior neon lights, but I can't get any of the resellers to answer this question. IF you buy a light that is 6", 8", or 10" does that mean the entire length? or just the length of the part that lights up. I wanna get the right sizes to fit.
thanks guys..

the 'size' has to be the biggest rip off strategy in neon sales that ive ever seen. if you are buying an 8" neon light, you are buying a neone Fixture that is 8" long, which means the light inside will be about ~5-6" long.. usually take the total length and subtract atleast 1-2" off each side and thats the total area that will actually light up.

The size if from end to end.. most accent tubes from streetglow have 1" on each side that is not part of the light.. so the 10" from streetglow is really 8" of light. email me if ya want some more info, prices, etc..
