Hey Evan, how hard was it to dye your carpet? Did you need any kind of steam cleaner or anything? Was it just pour on and wash off?

I'm thinking about dying mine. Its currently gray. Dying to black would look good. Did you pull that carpet out or do it while it was in? What type of die did you use? Also, the rubber piece on the driver side, did you leave that alone or can it be painted?

i used rit dye. the first time i took my carpet out to do it i used crappy fabric vinyl spray shit. it looked good got me all high haha.. but once u stepped on enough it would come out...
this time i used rit dye. one pack with 2 cups of hot water in a big cup with a spong and plastic bags over my hands are gloves haah im ghetto..
just soak the sponge and work it in the carpet. then let it dry ahha
i did the rubber thing but it comes off where i step on it lots.. use floor mats.

true, forget the vynal/fabric spray, comes right out. when i went to wally world and bought 5 cans of flat black store brand spray paint and used that to do it..... manno man, that worked like a charm.
it's been on for 1/2 year now and i've only had to touch up 2 of the high traffic spots.
it don't feel bad either(but who feels thier carpet)
i hear that the dye will rub off. like if you took a white rag and rubbed the carpet it would smear....
thats why i used spray paint.

mods: star stage III clutch full exhause cai sparkplugs(needing new ones, any ideas?> platnum plus window tint all black interior altezas
future mods(in no particular order): engine rebuild turbo..... lower it wheels seats exhaust piant job turbo wing hood body kit neons all around projectors new altezas new stereo equipment and more that will be kept secret for now

jc whitney has that in a few different colors. even taupe. haha. Why would you need taupe carpet in an import? Anyways, I heard the rit dye wouldn't work evenly and would be splotchy. I bought a pack of blue, but never did it. I might try it on the x if I ever get it tho if u guys say it works. Any pics btw?
