mine rattles, how do i make it stop. i used to think it was the sunroof, until it dawned on me that they sunroof would have to be hitting the roof of my car to make that noise. anyway, it rattles against the glass and IT DRIVES ME INSANE. tighting it doesnt help either.

yeah how do you take it off??i have a new gasket for mine and i dont know how to take it off..let me know..thanks

I would suggest getting some sort of weatherstripping or something and putting it between the light and the hatch. Hey sort of on this topic, when you press the brakes is that whole light suppose to light up?? On mine its only the center section, the out parts of it are dark. the g/f noticed this the other day and brought it to my attention.

I was just thinkin about takin mine off and leavin it off. With subs in the back it rattles kinda bad

I've been thinking about taking mine off. I already removed the bulb because it looks bad with tinted windows. But my entire rear end rattles back there. ALl that plastic seems imposible to quiet down without removing it. Anybody else have this problem?

The 3rd brake light is pretty annoying once it starts to rattle...there are 2 screws on either side of the hatch...about halfway between the front and back part of it...then it's held in by those infamous clips that the manufacturers love to use on plastic to metal attatchments...after that there are a few screws holding in the brake light, plus the wiring assembly...pretty simple to take out..I've had mine out since I got my car

I just pulled mine out. Actually I like it better, gives me more vision back there. But hey what did do with the empty hole it creates? Im thinkign about putting a neon light in there.

I was tryin to take the casing off, and I broke all 4 of those pins, lol, can sumbody PLEASE hook me up. I'll buy them off ya

yep, me too, broke the whole damn thing apart taking it out. and i was only trying to replace one bulb. yeah, i think there were two if i remember right.

if you haven't got ur windows tinted already take that off first that way they can tint the whole thing.

much cleaner w/out it, especialy with the sub rattln' it

I just tinted around mine. I had to lay the tint down on the outside anyway so I figured wtf and cut a square hole in it tracing right over the edges of the lens. I did take the light off before I started actually smoothing out the tint. Came out pretty good.
