ive actually been tinkering around with that idea myself. i havent gotten into it yet, the only problem i see is that there seems to be some rods back there that appear to be connected to the hvac. now ive already removed the one from the vents up top (all that does is keep them continously on or off) but im unsure if the rods behind the hvac area related to it or not.. im going to be workin on mine this month and will let you know what i come up on, gotta break of the chiltons and the shop book..
oh yeah, where do you plan on relocating yours too? the glove compartment?

I dont wana put it in the glove box, just push it back 1 to 2 inches. at tunerbash and I know some others have, but they have been put them in there glovebox. there is only 1 cable to the hvac. it goes to the inside air to outside air

I've done some serious looking into moving mine into the armrest. Most of the HVAC control run off of a mechanical cable which means moving them around is going to be a bitch (not anything like electrical switches). If you move them, the cables may not line up correctly and not trigger the HVAC controls right. I say it can be done (I'm still planning on moving my HVAC to the arm rest), but it will take quite a bit of work.

ok, i got into it todaY and it is possible. The only thing is the plastic tab will have to be forced out in the lower left in the back. Now remember I just wana push the assemnly back, not move it anywhere, so I will have no probs moveing it back once I figure out how to mount it, Hummmmm

did it appear that it is in anyway possible to relocate them to the arm rest?

it can, U just have to extend all the wires( all 50 of them) and re run or extend the 2 cables. I duno what type of cables u can use, maybee a throtle cable or sumthin. I know the white avenger on the AOSG(is that right?)board. I saw it at the tunerbash
