Well here are some new pix of the ride. Here is the info on what i got. The wheels are 17x7 Panther EMR 151, silver painted. Tires are Toyo Proxies 225-45-17. H&R Sport springs with $15 rear camber mod, using stock struts. I measured the wheel gap befor lowering, was about 3" from the top of the tire tread to the bottom of metal on the fender at the center of the top of the tire. Same for the rear. After lowering, before spring settle, i measured the front gap to about 1.5", and measured the rear gap at about 2". I measured again today after a day and a half settle- Front was about 1", and the rear was about 1.5 " I need a front camber kit also, is off by quite a bit, but rear was in spec with the rear camber mod. Total time spent to install springs was about 4 hours. The rears were simple, took about 25-30 minutes for each. The fronts took longer, but still simple. Fronts required to cut off about .75" of bumpstop on strut. The ride quality is EXCELLENT! Not bouncy at ALL, is a very nice stiff, hard ride, but not excessive at all. Also improved are braking dive of front end, almost is gone. Body lift when excellerating is almost not there. Turns excellent, very responsive. I highly recomend these springs!! The drop is perfect IMO. A slightly higer rear end help GREATLY in take off, less wheel spin, less hop, better wheight transfer all over. Springs were $211 at tirerack.com. hehe sorry, our cars just look naked without side skirts imo because then the front and rear bumpers are way lower, and the sides look all high...

haha yeah, i been looking for some, and missed the ones for sale on here, but i'm haveing a hard time finding used ones. None locally anyway. Satan wants about 400 bucks new unpainted for all pieces :( I really love the look of the stock skirts..Soon, hopefully soon.. :)

Got the wheels at a wholesale tire distributor here in town. I work at a shop that gets me awsome wholesale prices on their rims and tires. I had never heard of PCW(panther wheels corp), but the wheels are "spun cast aluminum", which from what i have gathered, is the best way to make a wheel, i guess it forces the aluminum outward to make a much stronger wheel. They are made in germany, and retail for over 200 bucks a piece. Lets say i got a very good deal on em. I indeed wanted a simple wheel, no chrome, silver, and light. I have always loved the look of a nive five star design wheel. It just looks very nice. Not too flashy, not too suttle. It just looks right IMO.

Personally, I always liked five spoke rims.

how much of a drop was it. mine is a 2 inch which settled to almost 2.5-2.75 or lower. and even with 18's it's still kinda down there.

The H&R sport springs dropped me about 2" in front, and about 1.6" in the rear. It hasn't settled any more than after the first 2 days of the install..I'm really happy with the amount of drop, and its almost just too low, but by looking at it, its looks perfect.

Dropping my car is next on my list and ive never done anything like this b4 and ive been asking around on what is the best way to drop the car with the least amount of problems. One guy at a local imports shop said that coilovers for my 97 GS is not the way to go he said to get springs and strut bar. I need some help here on what to do I just put on front/rear strut bars, shogun front bumper, and 17" rims and 40 series tires just in the past week. Now leaving me with to much clearance which is screaming drop me drop me. So if someone could give me some information on what I should do I would really appriciate it. And if I get spring do I need camber kit? I don't even know what it does or what it looks like. HELP...

It depends on what you really want to do for a drop. If you want adjustability for the ride height, then go with a good quality coil over setup. If you don't want the adjustable height, then use springs. Coilovers i have heard are somewhat noisy, and can pop on and off the strut perches, making clunking sounds over harder bumps. Dropping the car ANY, will make your camber go off spec. Slight drops say 1 to 1.5 inches in front, you might be able to get away without and front camber kit, but the camber will still be off, just not a whole lot. The rear will need a camber kit regardless of the amount of drop. Mild drops in the rear say up to 1.5", you can use the $15 rear camber mod on the mods page. I did this on my drop, and its just BARELY enough to keep it in spec. And this alignment measure was taken just after the spring install, before settle. So i know now that it is off more. I will have to prob use the ingalls rear kit, you will too if the drop is more than 1.25" or so in the rear. I'm not about to put more of the washers in there, i just dont like that idea. I might get some larger, wider washers to use instead, to help distribute more of the forces on the suspension control arm. As far as springs go, I'd say get the Eibach pro kits, or the H&R sport springs that i got, i love them, ride is excellent. I believe the H&R's will be slightly lower than the Eibach pro kits..

What is the difference in drop between eibach pro kits and H&R Sport spings, also does any one have pictures that compare the two.
