I KNOW this question has been asked before. I did search and wasn't able to find anything.

My question is this, since the NT tach gauge only go up to 8K RPM's, can we buy the Turbo ones instead? Will they fit without modification?

you can do it, but you have the oilp and boost gauge just hanging there then :)

I'm confused, NT tach's don't all go up to 9k? Mine does, and I thought all of them did. Do the turbos too? Does the 4g64?

The indiglo gauges made for nt's are ALL made for autos that the tach only goes up to 8k. Check the other threads for all the info, as it's pointless to repeat everything. ProDMD posted some pics of it too.

I knew that. What I was wondering about is in STOCK condition. Don't all 2g's stock have 9k tachs? So, if you buy an indiglo kit and you originally have a 9k tach, how do you adjust the tach to display the right rpms? because if you change it form 9, to 8K, the scale would get bigger wouldn't it?

Manual trans = 9k
auto trans = 8k

the NT auto only has an 8k tach. My ac autotechnic reverse indiglos had to be auto. I don't think they will line up. Turbo and NT 5 speed tachs are probably the same. Just, you can't use the oil and turbo gauge faces. Just go to ebay. They have a ton there for like $10 starting.
