17531, custom interior components
Posted by relative_velocity, Mar-19-02 02:56 PM
I am in the process of starting a buisness which manufactures custom interior components for sport compacts including, but not limited to instrument clusters, center consoles, door panels, full replacement dash kits, overhead assemblies, modified sun-visors. Many of the components are designed to house gauges, computers, video monitors/TV screens, and other performance related parts.
Any feedback concerning interest in these products would be greatly appreciated and would assist in the type of products offered and their car-specific application.
E-mail responses will be accepted as well. Thank you for your consideration and input.

put me in the ash tray to coin tray conversion. Works out well for toll-ways!

anyone have pics of what the ash-coin conversion looks like?

youre joking right?

well, its like this...when you open up the ashtray now, after the conversion, instead of seeing, oh say, ash, you see a pile of assorted denominations of coined US currency.

haha...do it, its a nice conversion...mad points at shows with it

oooooohh now i understand

I thought that it was one of those coin dispenser gadgets that lets off one coin at a time. You seperate all the coins into their compartments and whenever you need one, the top one slides out and then the next coin gets pushed to the top.

Know what im talking about?

Man, I have you all beat. I have an ash tray conversion into a coin holder / trash compactor / screw holder. I put the extra screws for installing my body kit at the bottom, then the coins, then trash on top.

It was a great idea, til I took the car in for the ball joint recall and the dealer jacked all my quarters. I didn't realize til later, and called to yell at the manager, but they put me on hold for 5 minutes so I just hung up.

BTW, I think the most popular product to make would be one that holds aftermarket 2 1/16" gauges, or an LCD screen or Super AFC.
