heeh I used to have one too...paid 4 bucks but it was just the japanese characters. I personally would take off the "powered by" stuff since that's kinda played out imo.

Yup, that's exactly why I didn't get a powered by mitsubishi. With just the characters, it's just saying the manufacturer of the car. But I took that sticker off a while ago when I changed to white stickers.

japanese is mad confusing. they hae like 3 different written languages and shit. hand writing is an art over there cause of all the damn characters an shit. you mess up one line and your writing obscenities

Japanese does have multiple character sets, and that one is Japanese (which is identical in written form to Chinese). But that is definitely to be interpreted in Japanese, it says "Three ... " something, and I'm assuming the second word is diamonds.

Putting a powered by honda sticker on would be about the same thing considering mitsubishi doesnt power us.

i have kanji letters tattooed on my lower back and it says bad girl. want a good example of why you better check it out before you just believe what they say? I got a guy where my dad works to write it for me cause he is from tawain and shit. it looks crunk, but i have to get more added to it cause its kinda plain right now. a guy that was living with us, his name was Jason S****, and he got it done in chinese letters across the top of his back, well he works with chinese people and he asked what it meant, it was supposed to say Jason S****, instead it says he who kills ladies in the night. so now they call him lady killer at work. I also got a butterfly on my left ankle.....i love tats!

They're japanese letters. They say mitsubishi. I don't see what's wrong with that...just the "powered by" part needs to go. Mitsubishi is a japanese company, hence the japanese letters.

Ya technically, our cars are domestic since they are made in the USA and it has a chrysler engine. But at least the manufacturer has its origins in Japan. We would like to think that are cars are "imports", and I personally really hate domestic cars in general(when in fact our cars are pretty much domestic). I'd rather have a car made by a japanese company than by an american one though, which is why I think some people like putting japanese letters on their car to symbolize that their car has its roots in japan.

umm... japanese people read chinese words, and use it in their writing too. So do korean people. (I was at a japanese hotel, and all the warnings and fire hazard signs were written in chinese)

Japan has like 3 forms of writing now. One is chinese words with japanese meanings, and the two others are completely phonetic like the alphabet. Their most common form of writing is half chinese words and half phonetics.

Korea has integrated a new system of writing too to take place of using chinese words. If you ask any second generation korean american to read chinese, they won't be able to, but if you ask their parents, they can.

The words are pronounced "Sahn Ling" which is what Mitsubishi is called in chinese.

Ya it's confusing with all the different character sets that Japan uses. But even though the japanese words are really chinese words, since japanese applies new meanings (sometimes the same) to these words, I still consider it to be japanese characters. Sure, it originally came from them copying the chinese characters, but they have incorporated it into their language. That's kinda like saying spanish is really english because it uses english letters. Well, not exactly the same, since english has letters, and chinese has words only.
