I finally got my new rims and they look sweet on the car. Now i do have this question, where rims with the center missing, shouldn't they come with a center cap to cover up the nasty part of the hub? They are Racing Hart C5's.

on a lot of wheels you have to order the center cap seperately.

Racingharts should come with the center cap. They are really expensive. If you got it used, then maybe that's why. A lot of people steal those center caps (i think they are about 200 bucks), so some of my friends purposely drive around without the center caps on.

no i bought them new. brand new and i had to buy lugs for them and mount and balance them. it's not the center piece that goes over the lugs (incase that's the piece you are thinking about), it's the piece directly in the center. like if you were to look at the wheel without the tire on, the piece that has the pin in it. i was thinking of getting *cough,cough* the center piece off of the stock wheels and painting them white with a blue mitsu diamond.

You mean the hexagon shaped center piece in the center in this pic right? Those are the expensive center caps I'm talking about. I thought they come with them? But maybe not...

well right now i am trying to find a picture of the rims i have with a center cap. if you go to www.racinghart.com and check under the rims section and look at the racing hart section you'll see a set of rims towards the bottom called CP-035. i think that's what they are. I was told they were C-5's but upon seeing pics on the net of c-5's those aren't the ones i have. let check some pics out on the net and see what i can find. thanks for the help you guys are giving. any more help would be great.
5 Min later - Yeah they are CP-035's. man those guys at the shop need to get their act together. First they order me 17" Toxxin's with 4x100 bolt pattern, even when i said 5x114.3, then they tell me the rims they are going to give me instead are c-5's

Dude, if you don't have the center caps, does the rims say Racinghart on them anywhere? Make sure they are not fakes, because there are a ton of fake CP-035 looking rims around everywhere...

well i didn't see them anywhere on the rim but on the box they were sent in, it had racing hart written on them. i'll check with the shop cause it really makes me mad.

Ok, just to let you know, the REAL Racinghart CP-035 says "Racinghart" on the lip of the rim. If you can't see Racinghart on the lip (near the tire), then it is probably one of the many fakes out there...

They all say Racinghart if its in white, winning gold, or their brilliant buffed multifinish. I don't know if there is a version that doesn't say Racinghart, but I'm assuming they all do.

well from what i heard there is a brand of racing hart called evo's that doesnt' have their name on their rims but it safe to assume that these are knock offs
oh well. i'm happy either way. i got 17's and i'm happy with that. they don't come with center caps so i'll have to figure something out.

Oh ya, RH Evolution has rims, but I don't think they have the CP-035 from RH Evolution. And the CP10 from RH Evolution says "RH Evo" on the lip. And the C5 from RH Evolution says "RH Evolution" on one of the spokes. So assuming you did get a knock-off, how much did you pay? If they charged you for real racinghart, you should ask for a refund. Knockoffs can be found for under 600 without tires for 17's. Some as low as 450 for all four. But maybe I could be completely wrong, and they might be real Racinghart but just not say anything on them?

i paid 1050 for a set of 17" konig toxxin's but they were the wrong lug pattern, so they gave me the CP-035s instead with tires. i asked him about the piece inbetween the lugs and he said "On the Racing Harts???" I said yeah and he said "they don't come with em" so i'll figure something out. i am pretty sure they are RH's though and just don't say it. thanks for you help man. i appreciate it alot.

I would still look into it. I hope we are assuming wrong and you DID get the real ones, but it sounds fishy. Did they come with any documentaion? Even if they are knockoffs, that price isnt bad for wheels AND tires. I just paid that much for mine. Id look into it, and if they are fakes and they intentionally tried to misrepresent them try to get some money back ;)

I'm really worried for you now. I'm more than 50% sure you got fakes. The reason is, everyone I talk to says Racinharts and Evos etc all say it on the rim somewhere, and also INCLUDE the center caps. In fact, there is a groupbuy on EVO C5's:

that would suck if they were fake, but then again, who gives a crap, they look just like racing harts, so people will think they are. probably the same quality anyways.

well i am going to the shop tomorrow and i'll ask about them and see if i can get papers. the CP-035's don't come with a center cap. if you look at the rims that honda, there is no center cap. I'll get documents for the rims. This is what i got with my rims: Rims, 205/40H17 Kumho Ecsta tires, and chrome Valve stems(the ones with the 2 rubber pieces to fit against the rims, and 1 washer and 1 bolt to hold in place and the other to lock it. didn't get new lugs. had to buy em.

well the rims i got are racing harts. so all is good.

i went up and got the docs for them. worse thing is that they do make the 17" Konig Toxxin's for my car(which were the ones i was going to get). He just didn't want to order them cause he didn't want to pay shipping. Plus i bought a set of Gen3 Altezza's(3 weeks ago) to replace the ones that got broke, and they still haven't come in. He tried to sell me a set of black chrome ones. I was fu** no. I want my damn chrome ones that I paid for. If their not in tomorrow, i'm getting my money back and he can just sit on the tails. Plus I am still waiting on my Crank pulley that I bought last week from ebay, the guy lives in here in florida and I paid for them last tuesday and he said they would be here on wednesday or thursday. took 3 calls and 4 regular emails and one threat to get him to respond.
