i don't have one to my trunk but i have it to my hood. its pretty cool to pop the hood pins then reach down and push a button under my bumper and my hood pops.

they are nice -- but can be a PITA to install in some cars.. i havent done one in a DSM --yet-- but i can vouch that they are a royal paint in probes. :)

Yeah I would be down for a power trunk release... I am installing an aftermarket alarm soon and would love to have this as an option!

I got one on my avenger....it was easy to install, and it works. Has never failed on me.
It is really nice too. I like popping the trunk with my keyfob. When it pops open it actually does pop open about 2", so you *could* add some higher pressure air cylinders to it and have it open fully with the touch of a button.
BTW - mine is used with my alarm, as the auxiliary option.
Later, BH
