hey all...

since i am on spring break and have a lot of time on my hands, i have decided to put my baby through an extensive cleaning process. there are 6 steps to the exterior "show finish" as it's called. now...evidently, the term "glaze" is a very vague word, but i believe it is an actual thing you can get. all the glazes i have found are really polishes. the source that i am using for my info ( http://www.2gnt.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=1168&forum=DCForumID15 ) describes a glaze as this:

Glazed – Here’s a term that’s grossly misused in detailing products. Glazes are paint treatments used to fill small surface scratches and swirl marks. Most glazes are made from a blend of carnauba waxes and silicones. Polymer glazes are also available. If using a wax-based glaze, the glaze's filling ability generally only lasts a matter of days before swirl marks and light scratches reappear. If you’ve ever had your baby professionally detailed only to have swirl marks reappear a week later, now you know why.


here is meguiars definition for #26:

i think i just kinda answered my own question...but anyone have any experience doing this to their car? (check the link...its quite a process) its looking pretty dayum good so far and im only on the glaze step...will definitely post pics when done. any input is appreciated...thanks!
