Car is going into the shop tomorrow and I was told by my insurance agent body guy that IF i cut into the skirts like you did and make an opening that when I reattach them to the side of my car, with the hole there, the wind will rip it off, the only way to have it on he says is to have a routing for the wind to go....just wondering on how you did it. Thanks

Cyan actually cut into his car, but even if you don't, it shouldn't get ripped off. My blitz type 2's have a hole, although it's not the same as your skirts...I just don't think wind would be able to rip it out.

they won't rip off, i had my Blitz type I molded and they had a vent and it never flew off or cracked.

soooooooo, it's ok just to cut a vent like Cyan did than?? the air should just fly out through the bottom of the skirt right?? Damn Body Shop people trying to scare me n shit

I'm getting my color swapped out with an orange with a blue pearl, any advice on what exact orange to get?? I just sorta looked in a book and picked it out, I really don't want my car to look like any stock color but the more I think about it the more I think it's going to look like the "copper" colored eclipses. Check out the lamboughini orange which is very nice. Cyan cut a hole in the side of his car (through the metal). Either way, it's ok, not enough air will get in there to break it off (never even heard of anything like it). If the shop said that, I wonder if they really know how to do custom body work.

Nope, it wont rip off. Two of my ford probe friends have that style sideskirt (actually, they stick out more, come with a huge hole, and are more drastic) and they arent going anywhere. One of the cars has the sideskirt cipped on, the other car has them molded into the body.

Mickey, take the time and bring your car by Mark's Autobody in Rockledge. They do all of my body work, cheap too. Tell them Nick sent ya :)
