ok guys, i decided to go crazy with the interior this year. i have 4 - 5.6 lcd monitors, and two playstation 2's. one tv is already mounted flush in the passenger's visor.

that leaves me with 3 more to play with. my plans for the next tv is to fiberglass it where the radio used to be (it's now in my glovebox with the faceplate mounted as my rearview mirror)

so that would leave me with 2 more tv's. i know what you're thinking... put them in the headrests, right? well, that's where i have a problem, because if i did, the person in the back seat wouldn't have a good view of the screen, as racing seats don't have an adjustable headrest. my seats DO recline, but in order for the person to see the tv well, the person in the front seat would almost have to adjust their racing seat to a 90 degree angle. ouch.

A buddy of mine has installed one where the arm rest is. it folds down and swivels back and forth so ppl in back can adjust it so they both can see. Other than that I don't know. Unless there is a way to install visors in the back that will flip down. Hope this gives you some ideas.

put them in the rear panels.. that go near the speaker.. so if they was in teh back seat they could just turn and watch... i mean how many people really sit in the back of your eclipse??? i had 5 in my car once and 4 another time.. but never again.. i have to drive with my seat all the way back..

and now i have racing seats....

or you can put them in the trunk so if you have a killer sound set up u can have tvs back there.. would be nice

Why not just get two more visors from a junkyard or dealershit and mount those back there. That would be cool, then just flip them down for people in the back to watch. Do you have a sunroof? Even if so, mount it slightly behind it.

If you had a really nice stereo setup, you could mount one on a fiberglass holding in the back and have it read out things like bass levels and things of that sort.

can you show me how you wired your head unit like that? that is something i have wanted to do. thanks bro

How much do those screens go for ?


Are they cheaper than the fold-out head units w/ a built in screen ? cause those go for 1+ grand. Ouch. Not in my budget.

monitors are cheap, you can get 5.6 for around 130, thats how much mine is, but now its gone, getting worked on, right blake? right? :7

the stereo thing... there's only 12 wires that connect the pioneer faceplate to the rest of the stereo. all you have to do is remove the faceplate then take the stereo apart. solder the 12 points on the faceplate to a wire with 12 pins (i used a 10 foot computer monitor cable) then solder the other end of this wire to the actual stereo. tuck the wire behind the a pillar, and run it up to the mirror. cut the mirror off, and fiberglass the faceplate to where the mirror used to be. if you want to get creative, you can fabricate a housing for a piece of mirror tinted glass to go in front of the stereo faceplate. this should allow the glass to slide out if neccessary. you can still use the faceplate with a remote, as well as have a functional, backlit mirror. looks awesome! i'll post some pics soon.
