Well i install DEI stuff, and of course really like their product. Its quality, functionality, and ease of installation makes em great. But if you want the best security for your car, be sure to take a lot of time in your placement and wiring of the alarm to be sure its a real security system, and not just an easy bypassible noise maker! If in any doubt of your abilities, get it prof done by a very reputable installer. Our cars are IMO,are very easy to wire things up to, so if you are any good with electrical stuff, you should be able to do it. And of course, i can give you any help if you need it.

Ive got the 330esp and love it. I think the only thing that differs with the 550 was what you mentioned and the ability to make it roll down your windows or your sunroof (something like that). Mine unlocks my doors though and I have it set so that it arms itself after 30 seconds, at which time it locks its doors as well. I say go for it.
