Hey all, I've wanted a chrome mitsubishi emblem for a while, and my gf just got me one. Here are a couple pics. The 2002 mitsu eclipse emblems fit right on (same exact size). Whatcha guys think of my new go-fast mod hehe..

Also, thanks to HondaHater for the blue HVAC LED, and CVedEclipse for the install tips...here is a pic of it:

That logo fits your color very nicely... I am too lazy to install those blue deals yet.
I have a red condom over my gauges and orange/red interior so I dont want that to be the only blue thing. I will have to wait till I get those gay little reverse indiglo deals. ;)

I've been looking to change mine silver for a while. How much was it? Did you just get it at a dealership? And what did you do to get it off and reattach the new one. Lemme know bc i want to do that.

Yeah i installed my HondaHater LED and it looks perfect. And i sanded all the orange off my gauges and colored the back w/ a blue sharpie and it looks great. All gauges/Hvac are blue for only $7.50.

Hey Ian, what did you have to take off from your gauges to get to the part where you sand it? How hard is it?
The chrome emblem was around 20 bucks from the dealer, but I think you could probably find it cheaper if you shopped around at different dealers. You just rip the old one off (use floss if it's hard to separate it), and then the new one comes with adhesive on the back so you just stick it on. I also added some epoxy glue on the back of it so now it's stuck to my bumper really good.

I had mine spray painted silver before too. Then I painted it blue along with the rest of my car. But now I like the chrome since it's a lot shinier than any paint can get...

I made mine out of $30 carbon fiber. The dash looks cool. I like to stare at mine while I drive.

looks good marcus.. the hvacs and the chrome diamond.. looked great at the meet..
im not ian, but to sand the faces, you need to get the whole gauge cluster out, and take off the black gauges to sand.. just like six screws and thats it.. its really easy, how did the blue sharpie work for you? pics? ive been riding around with sanded gauges, but havent made them blue yet.

you have to take off the needles and gauges and sand off the orange stuff on the back of them. I used 220 grit and wet sanded it and then put 3 coats of the sharpie on it. Almost matches the HVAC perfectly. I left the needles orange and i think it looks really good, especially for only $1.50 and an hour of work.

hehe thanks, how did you recalibrate your needles though? Or did you just kinda guess? And it shouldn't matter what brand of permanent marker I use right?

tach, temp and gas are easy to recaliberate, speedo is a little difficult. I think my speedo is right, but i need to drive next to someone to find one. Just look very carefully where your gauges are before you take them off (where your car idles when warm, when the temp guage is when warm, where gas is, and use tach to determine speed example 3500 rpm in 4th= 45 mph and 4000 rpm in 4th=50 mph, this will let you know if your speedo is where it was before you took it off.
