just wanted to see if this was done..i was thinking about doing a double hump hood and getting both sides cut out in the front with the slits in the front not like the round holes like i seen before..im thinking this would look hott let me know what you think??

Evan is right. I told him no copies. whether it was referred to something drawn or just something like a double hump with slits, i told him no copies. it's up to him if I can make more hoods like that. it's his call not mine. I don't wanna go back on what I told him.

Kinda funny how everyone wants to customize their shit with shit thats alreay out there. Thats not custom. Altho immatation is the greatest form of flattery. And since you can have bedlam make you a custom hood evan, why have him make rick's? do your own thing, make a functional cowl hood, or ram air hood. Just my 2 cents. but like rick said, do you what you want to do.

I just worked out a deal with all of the junkyards in my area. I am going to get all of the bumps off of the eclipse hoods and mold 27 of them all over my car. Copy that, I dare ya!

If you wanna be original, transplant your bump from one side to the other. It would keep that sleek look and 100% original.

my hood is not exactly the same as ricks.. its some what different andthe air will go into the engine not just stop.. i cant say its functional cuz i have a Cai..

hey evan you could always keep all three of the hoods and change em out for different times or carry the other hoods to a show....judges love visuals....heheheh

Actually.. I still have my metal hood. The guy I was going to give it to totalled his ride. So I have two hoods that are identical.. one carbon fiber. To be honest.. I kinda like the way my metal one looks better than the carbon fiber. I probably will be rockin that one more often and swappin to the CF at shows. I'm doing some extensive work on my Eclipse and probably won't be done til summer. The fact that I did some work to my CRX is going to delay that even more. The only originality I've seen on this board as far as body work has been on Vector Racings and flossinpinoyracer.. everyone else is just on a fad trip. Someone come up with some new shit and quit the duplication.

Sorry? I'm not complaining.. more like encouraging. I don't have tons of money either.. but then again I don't have to pay for 80 percent of the cost of just about everything I do to my car. At least not anymore. Jeff Do and I had the same plans as far as custom shit to be done in the future.. this was waay back. And even back then.. we would just laugh about it and say we'd be twins reppin north and south cali. I don't REALLY mind of people copy my shit.. I just get irritated when people try to take credit for it. Like the Buddy club front... I custom molded it out of a civic kit. And then companies started taking pictures of my car.. photoshopping it.. and then pasting it on their websites in advertisement of a product they claim to sell. Evan.. look at your front.. and then look at mine. It's not the same. But I'm glad you like the style.. makes me realize what a good idea it was. I'm not all show either.. probably the first one turbocharged on this whole board. My motor is fully built.. but there are others on this board whos are decked out more than mine is. Chris M. .. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to keep up with him. To sum it up.. I'm actually proud of most people on this board who work hard for their hobbies. I'm glad I have this board to go to for resources and to bust jokes from time to time. I have made friends from the other side of the country because of this board. So whatever it is you decide to do to your car despite what has been done ANYWHERE.. it's all on you! Feel free to do whatever it is you like according to your taste. Hell, I spend more time here talking about cars than I do with my own crew.. who I'm not entirely proud of right now for several reasons. But that's another story. To be honest.. Yeah rick and I used to joke about rockin the same tails. hell I got the idea from him. but he obviously had the BC first. seeing as his is the original. but in the end I didn't end up using those tails for one reason or another. and in all honesty my car isn't all that unique. there is another eclipse out there with similar side vents to mine. his was done first. but my vents are diff than his... well my top vent is. but its just like makin a two humped hood but using different slits. the only thing truely original about my car is this.

and I have to give a friend mine the credit for that idea. personaly this is how I see it. I dun care if someone copies me, like they say imitation is the bigest form of flatery. but I also wanna be the only one to have whatever it is that makes me original.... well at least be the only one with it long enough so that everyone knows I was first. then after its been mine for a while I dun care who wants to copy.
