well as most of you know my hood flew up on me twice in 2 years.. from me not latching it.. well the 2nd time kinda split the layers on one side the CF and Fiberglass skeleon..

welll 2night driving home from dinner with my girl imgoing like 100.. then this black thing just flys up over us.. im like WTF.. is it my wipers
so i look u and all i see is this


oh man theres goes the CF layer to dark and cold to go look for it..

i dont care much since i was getting a new hood anyway now i just have to rush it..


so chris i dont know what to do man.. i might try to rock that red hood and cover up the cut out hump and wait on u to make me that hood. icant wait to long.. i might just go buy the 6vent CF hood.. and PINS..

dude that sucks but your "new looking" hood actually looks a little cool. Kinda looks like the engine's cage. I wonder if anyone is gonna find that big layer of carbon fiber on the road.

DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!!! NOW I gotta spend a lot of $ for weight reduction instead of $75. Oh well, $300+ isn't worth the 22 lbs of weight reduction IMO but $75 was. I hope those behind you were ok.

Hood pins! Hope no one hit that hood after the cf layer flew off. I think with hood pins it would have held the two layers together at least a bit better...

i hope no one did either.. but i was going 110 so its kinda hard to slow down and it took us a min to figure out what happened.. no one was close behind.. thank god..

i kinda wanna find it and keep it for fun ahah..

i wonder if i could fill it in and leave the cutouts.. with say fiberglass and paint it.. its like having a hood with mad cut outs.. a show only hood..prob to brittle to drive with.. hmmm

i mean i dont have much proof that its thier hood.. unless they have some design in it they can see.. i mean i bought it from www.imoto.com over 1.5 years ago.. well see im going to call fiberimages they arent too good with RE to email.. tell them my story and then say ill send u guys pics in a min.

man that seriously sucks. i can use that skeleton for the under structure for yours if you would like or i can use it for mine whichever. looks like the production is going to have to be quicker than expected.

I'll bet somebody will be picking the hood up thinking it's a whole one. LOL. You will see someone with an eclipse with an f-d up hood on their car in the next few days.

heres the deal.. put lexan or plexiglass in all the holes and cover it with fiberglass so u can see into the engine.. then paint it silver.. im lazy but i thinks i can do it..


theres a red hood up at this shop by me. dave the owner said i couldrock it for a while.. cept theres a big cut out because someone cut the hump off to put on another car.. so ill have to cover it up somehow.

Hey, you think our stock hood will be good to have sex on or not? LOL, it's something my girlfriend thought of trying one of these nights, and I'm afraid I'll need a CF or something for out weight. Any tips from you pros? ;P
