Just a heads up for any of you that are ordering a new front bumper this spring...I know this is a pretty common problem, but make sure you do a follow up on the bumper year (if you don't want to do any unneccessary bodywork). I ordered a 95-96 Tsunami (Shogun) bumper from Asylumm Motorsports. I specifically told them 95-96 twice. When the bumper came, it had hand writing on the side that said "95-96?" There was actually a question mark written on the side. BUT sure enough it was a 97-99 bumper cover. I emailed the company to ask if they would help to pay some of the modification bill (it's too cold out to do it myself - no garage) Since the bumper is made in both styles, I think the part got mixed up in the warehouse and accidentally labelled the wrong year. You think I ever got an answer?? NOPE! just watch out, and save yourself the few hours of fiberglassing unneccessary parts.

Asylumm MS is known to be not very reputable from what I heard. It shouldn't cost more than 50 bucks to modify by the headlights though. GOod luck.

Assylum sent me the wrong wing 4 times, and never did get it right. I ordered a GTR w/ led light and the forth one was GTR but with no light so i just said screw it, i am not going to send another one back so i kept it.

How much did it cost to ship it to your house?

it cost me $390 total. the bumper was $295. shipping was $85. i live in syracuse, new york, so you gotta figure that's shipped across the damn country. it was quick though, i'll give them that...it only took 6 days total to get the bumper here. i still haven't gotten a response from the company yet as to whether they would help pay the mod fee. BUT anyway, i got it done at Fab Koncepz and it cost $100. it took 3.5 hours of labor to get that bumper to fit. The company is run by an editor of "Mini Truckin'" magazine. He told me it was the cheapest material he had ever seen and fab koncepz are known for installing bodykits, hydroulics, airbags, shaved handles, gas doors etc...so that's a bummer. it's probably gonna crack on me. also, just to warn you guys, Asylumm Motorsports does not include any type of mounting location/bracket for your sidemarkers. you have to cut the old one out of your factory bumper. they only cut a hole for your side marker, and there is nothing to mount it to. not sure if all aftermarket bumpers are like that. I guess i got ripped off and should have paid Erebuni the insane amount of $537.00 for their version of the shogun bumper. i bet it would fit better.

Oh Yeah!! I almost forgot... Cyan - THANKS ALOT for that step by step guide on removing the front bumper. It worked like a charm, I swear to God, I would still be out there right now trying to get that damn thing off if it weren't for you. I printed the walk-through up and when I dropped my car off with the new bumper, (I already had the old one removed) I gave it to Thom, he was pretty impressed by your accuracy when I went back to pick the car up. Thanks!!
I think all these walk-throughs are AWESOME. i promise that when spring comes, and it's time to install the blinking mirrors, monster tach, and lower tie bar I will have walk-throughs posted with pics to help out. thanks alot to everyone who has helped make life easier.

no problem man,ive doen it at least 3 dozen times now so it got to be second nature to me. i will probably post a walkthrough for the coilovers once i get some that are worth a damn unlike these maxspeeds. so myquestion is this, are you happey with the arospeeds on your car? do thay make all kinds of messed up noises? where did you camber go when you lowered it, and how far down did you go? i ask this because i went all the way on these maxspeeds (3.25") and my camber is still at zero. i may get those arospeeds if these maxspeeds dont get any better when i change the struts
