i seen a couple of eclipses with dual exhaust and im gonna get it done after i get my kit put on but want i wanted to know is around how much it would cost and if anyone has it done i would like to see pics..thanks

you might of seen it but it wasnt a TRUE dual exhaust... we do not have enough room to do something like this unless modified which would be alot of money...

eh... it can be done, Dualgen on the board has it done... cant fit big enough piping to make it truly effective.... waste of money

what size pipe should i run i was thinking about 2.5 or 2.25 i heard the bigger you go the less back pressure you have...what would be better??

the only dual exhaust i saw, was obviously not true, it was on a talon called the "orangasm" lol. he had one pipe, and right before the hatch of the car, it split to two tailpipes, so not true dual, but looks good

yeah they run one pipe from the cat then they put on a Y pipe which splits it in two..

1, its not backpressure, do a search on that and that will be explained very very well, by our very own vx100.
2, dual exhaust will cause a lot of loss of low end, your now allowing twice as much air out of the exhaust.
3. i dont think you could fit bigger then 2-2.25 inch piping around to the other side...

again it is truly a waste of money, and money that could be well spent else where. for asthetic looks its nice, but no other reason.

Man you people are harsh on Dual Exhaust.

I have it on my Avenger and the Loss of Pressure is NOT noticeable.

It depends what your going after in your car. If your all about Speed then i guess don't get it. If your more into looks then get it.

It's your car...anything you do to your car is NOT a WASTE of MONEY. IT's your car spend your money how you want.

I did it....never regretted it.
I cost me about $150 including putting on the two new mufflers.
Mine is split right after the rear axle.

aiight now that Im back from work Im sad to see all the haters on my dual.. I fucking luv my dual exhaust and it gets more attension then my turbo does. sure it sucks I gotta keep my stock piping but its orgional and it makes me stand out from every other turbo Eclipse out there. Sounds nice to. I paid 120 to get both mufflers put on and do custom piping around gas tank. Now $120 is not a waste of $ if you ask me. Shit I got enough put into car already so who cares. haha. It aint true dual but I dont care. IM me on dualgen2 if u wanna see some pics. rynsprs, ASOG sucks, haha jk... sup Steve... We need to chill sometime. Its been to long bro.

there is a guy here in P-Cola with a dual exhaust and it's pretty sweet. plus i've seen a pic of a guy who did a supra taillight conversion on his car and made a true dual coming out of the center of the rear. some major money dished out there to make it fit

Just wanted to say, if you are losing low end, you are gaining high end, because it can flow more at those engine speeds. That is why you see type R's running around with no torque gain over their base models, but running it higher, it gives you more umph in the racing. Of course to big a piping and you will need more than stock revs to get the most power. Just a rant :-)
