14447, indiglos eff'd up...HELP Posted by low4life, Feb-10-02 11:26 AM
I got the indiglo guages for my car, all hooked up and ready to go. When I turn my lights on the guages flicker...whats the problem??
I hooked them up to the ash tray light wires so I'm wondering if its just a problem with the current (amps) thats getting to them what do yall think?? Has anyone else had this problem??

Dont wire them into the ashtray light. Rewire them into your parking lites, behind the steering wheel column. use a volt-o-meter to find the right power wire. These indiglos require a full 12-volt circuit. If you try to adjust your dimmers though (the factory equipped knob on the left side of the steering column) then it will mess up the indiglos however, you have to not adjust that dimmer switch once you get them installed that way. (just use the dimmer switch that the indiglos come with) For example, once installed while tapped into your parking lights...when you try to adjust the dimmer switch on your dash, the indiglos will start flickering and just turn off. Just turn your lights off them turn them back on and they will come back on. The first time I experienced that I thought I eff'd up my indiglos, haha. Its a pain, but insures that they are properly installed right.
